What a fun process this was in designing and crafting this unique artisan necklace with a riveted pendant in mixed metals. I decided to use different metals and different patinas. The leaf, butterfly and flower were originally bright silver color. The bronze leaf shape has added texture and darkening. I used copper rivets to attach the charms to the leaf. I used a 2” square of copper as the background. I textured it, then added patina. I then riveted on the leaf. The chain is bronze wire. I used a pattern by Albina Manning called the figure 8 chain. The closure is a simple hook and eye. After polishing up everything, I sprayed it all with a sealant, then glued on a piece of vegan leather on the back to make sure the rivets wouldn’t catch or scratch skin or clothing. Your love of nature will shine when you wear this pendant!
The pendant is a 2” square that measures 2 1/2” corner to corner.
The chain is 21” long and easily removable to be worn alone.
